Very interesting to see that Vista is doing better now days. But I think the article is in late July and Windows 7 was launched in October, so it should have created huge impact on Vista’s sales recently.
For me, personally, Vista was not up to the mark. I am using windows 7 currently and my opinion is good ( Very good ) about it. It is fast and more enjoyable. Things are looking better managed here.
I am including link of sales statistics which clearly shows that Windows 7 has beaten all other competitions to Microsoft in very short time span. But it will take time for windows 7 to replace Xp.
http://marketshare.hitslink.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10
Yes, the article was old. But I do feel that there was a negative bias against Vista due to the poor driver support at launch (which is not Microsoft’s fault for most part). I now have Vista SP2 running smoothly for days on end without any BSODs. Windows 7 is great no doubt, but I’m a bit reluctant to spend a lot of quid for great eye-candy!
